Planning and placement
Assessment considers remaining teeth, gum health, bone, bite, appearance and alternatives. Implant placement may form part of a wider multidisciplinary plan; suitability and any need for additional procedures are assessed individually.
Restoring implants
Options may include implant-supported crowns, bridges and dentures. Digital scanning, provisional restorations and communication with the laboratory can help shape the final result. Every plan includes maintenance and review.
When an implant restoration has a problem
Loose or fractured screws, worn components, failing crowns and bridges, and complex prosthetic rehabilitation may warrant a specialist opinion. The cause is investigated before proposing repair, replacement or referral for further care.
