Avant uses a compact design with a strap-based advancement mechanism. Space in the mouth and the way the appliance fits your teeth help guide selection.
SomnoDent Flex
Flex uses a custom upper and lower appliance with adjustable advancement. It may be considered when retention or the shape of the teeth favours this approach.
How the decision is made
Neither design is inherently right for everyone. Missing molars, short teeth, sensitivity, crowns and implants may influence design. Dr Kundi will explain the options after checking dental and periodontal health, bite and jaw comfort. Follow-up remains necessary whichever device is selected.
